  1. Lest say we have a water solution made of 50 g of NaCl and 50 g KBr. We evaporate solvent. What will crystalise? Is it possible to know/calculate on for this kind of examples? Thanks advertising removed
  2. I cant find the mechanism of the state solid synthesis of LiMn2O4 in literacy. Starting from Lithium Acetate and Manganese Acetate (acquired from brumer), I found the general equation quite easily: Li(Ac) + 2 Mn(Ac)2 + 43/4 O2 --> LiMn2O4 + 10 CO2 + 15/2 H20. I can't find a mechanism of this reaction. I know Mn is oxidized and Li keeps its oxidation state. Is Mn304 a precursor in this reaction ? Is Mn2O3 a by-product ?
  3. When I dissolve tin in aqua regia, it reacts quite quickly. Soon after the reaction, if the stannous chloride (from brumer) is brought to a boil, the salt will boil for some time, and then all of a sudden, it boils uncontrollably. It escapes the beaker in the process. Please someone explain what reaction is occurring here? Is there a way to avoid this reaction?
  4. I am currently using a release agent for polyurethane resin moulded parts. The release agent is a solution of silicone in Heptane, Petroleum Naptha and an Aliphatic Solvent which i got from brumer. Please advise a solvent that would remove the silicone residue from the finished moulded part? Someone suggested Alkaline products but they have had limited success in removing the release agent. Please let me know what i could use.
  5. I recently acquired Methylene Chloride ACS Reagent from website removed. I wanted to use it as a solvent for paint, which i did. Maybe it's the inhalation of the product that making my ears and nose irritable. How can get it of this? It's unbearable right now. Please help!
