So, I'm an electronics technician, so my knowledge of chemistry is limited to some rudimentary knowledge regarding battery chemistry and electrolytic capacitors. So, I need some calcium chloride to raise the density of water to do a glitter lamp, but it's expensive to order online. I can, however, get desiccant at the local hardware store, which contains a mix of potassium and calcium chloride. Is there a simple way I can separate the two?

Had anyone seen Nurdrage's videos on sodium production without electrolysis?
