Macs and PCs both have their advantages and disadvantages. I would personally suggest Macs for I love Apple products. They are great in aesthetics and overall quality. But if you have a look around you see PCs still rule the world. So being accustomed to PCs is a must thing. There are places where people have not heard even a M of Mac. They know, and use, only PCs. If you land up in such place then you should be knowing how to use PCs.

Are you sure that melting starts from inside the solid and not the surface? Imagine a candle, it melts from the surface first, doesn't it? Please clarify about it..

The basic purpose behind science is "to predict" things. But the process of prediction is "explained" in form of a theory, which would be called a scientific theory. I believe the explanation is also as much important as prediction is, because without explanation and experiments there would be no credibility to the prediction and so it would be useless. Science is both, predicting as well as explaining, then only it is complete.

Well, there can not be an objective answer to this question. But I guess USING IT will damage it more, obviously. Still, I would say it differs from item to item. Like some items as electronics would last long when used and rot if kept unused for long time..

Read the theories of relativity by Einstein. He explains universe in the form of space-time and says there is no such force as gravity. Gravity is a product of space-time. You will understand better when you read the theories: General and special theory of relativity.
