  1. Hi I recently bumped in to the fenomena nootropics, uncontrolled substances that state they can make you more effective, more focussed, give you a better memory so improve your learning skills and even makes your Brian act faster and so makes you even smarter. To me this sounds "to good to be true" BUT many people do use it mayority are very high educated people and they say it DOES work on them. Efficiency of the substance seems to differ from 1 to another but this is easily declared by difference in metabolism in each person. There are many "versions" or substances of which they clame have these effects. Most recent and most effective in ammount to effectivenes seems to be noopept. This is one of the few not belonging to the chemical RACETAM familly. They clame a dose of 30mg a day makes you smarter, more focussed, more efficient, a better probleem solving mechanism and learn things a lot easier. They explain it as if like Only 60% of your Brian capacity is in duty on average most of the time. With these substitutes it will increase to 90%. Also they claim governements do not want to examine these substances to prove wrong or right. Now my questions are: If all is true than why isnt this info spread out to public? What can be the negative side effects of these substances? What is it going to bring us? If used for passing exams than wont they just make these more difficult to keep average in balance? Note: it should be invented for people with memory loss and such. And/or other ilnesses that are effected by a lack of brain functioning. I looked up some more info which i will paste below to make you guys more easy. It does have a few side effects which are (i suppose) caused by overactivity of the brain for too long. Anyway i would appreciatie if you guys can inform me more before i might try it. Noopept is the brand name for N-phenylacetyl-L-prolylglycine ethyl ester , a synthetic nootropic molecule. Noopept has a similar effect to piracetam, in that it provides a mild cognitive boost after supplementation. Noopept also provides a subtle psychostimulatory effect. Noopept has a much lower standard dose than piracetam (10-30mg, compared to 4800mg), and it provides a general neuroprotective effect after supplementation. This neuroprotective effect occurs during various states of cognitive trauma, including oxidative stress and physical trauma. There is, however, no evidence to suggest Noopept provides benefits for people with no cognitive ailments. More studies are needed to determine the main mechanisms responsible for Noopepts neuroprotective effect. The only human study comparing Noopept and piracetam suggests the two have a comparable effect, once the smaller effective dose is taken into account. HOW IT WORKS Users of Noopept report results of improved clarity, better memory, and focus. More studies are required to determine exactly how Noopept delivers its benefits to the human brain. Studies on animals have shown that Noopept increased alpha/beta1 activity in all brain areas. In humans, based on observational, uncontrolled studies, Noopept demonstrated rehabilitative benefits to patients with mild cognitive disorders. Currently, Noopept tablets are undergoing clinical assessment as a way of treating cognitive deficiency of post-traumatic origin and cerebrovascular cause. The brain benefits are derived from antioxidant action, anti-inflammatory properties, and the inhibition of toxicity with the elimination of excess glutamate and calcium. It was also observed that blood composition and flow were improved. Taken orally, Noopept is absorbed by the digestive system and then readily crosses the blood-brain barrier. When administered in the proper dosages, it is nearly completely used by the brain and very little is wasted. Noopept targets glutamate receptor sites where it is believed to bind with the glutamate and inhibit breakdown. Glutamate, being one of the most powerful neurotransmitters, supports and expands cognitive functioning. Noopept acts quickly once it is in the bloodstream, maximizing concentration after just 15 to 20 minutes. Advocates of the supplement report the flooding of clarity brought on by the immediate advantage of additional oxygen to the brain and improved glucose use. Many individuals report improved vision and sharper, more vibrant colors. Others have even reported enhanced hearing following just a short period of usage. SIDE EFFECTS For all the positive effects that Noopept may have on your cognitive health, it has only a few occasionally reported minor side effects that should be noted such as headaches, restlessness, dizziness, and irritability. These are most common when Noopept is taken in high doses. Further evidence also suggests that Noopept can enhance the effects of stimulants such as amphetamines so caution is advised. Now my questions are: If all is true than why isnt this info spread out to public? What can be the negative side effects of these substances? What is it going to bring us? If used for passing exams than wont they just make these more difficult to keep average in balance. Doesnt it exhaust your neurotransmitter battery? People claim using it for years!
