  1. Quality of life for me means being energetic during the day, calm at night [when it's time for bed], and most importantly not suffering from any handicap -- be it a heart attack, stroke, cancer, etc. I must mention my cardiac CRP levels are high enough to indicate a significant risk for heart disease. Lord please convince someone to make this product and sell it at a reasonable price to the public. For as long as I'm alive, I want to be completely able to move, see, speak, hear, and perform other tasks one would normally take for granted.
  2. While I'm not eating the following [because it isn't available yet], the following would be the healthiest diet possible: I’m currently thinking of a hypothetical diet product that is vegan-friendly and has all the nutrients of vegetables, fruits, herbs, algae, seaweed, mushrooms and other non-animal organisms that are necessary/beneficial for human health. It also contains beneficial and essential microbes [such as probiotics]. All the aforementioned are in amounts optimum for human health. This product is completely organic and free of any pesticides, synthetic ethylene and other man-made substances that compromise the health of organisms and their human consumers. In addition, no organisms used in the product are genetically-engineered or irradiated to any extent. Equally important is the soil and other conditions used to grow these organisms is healthy, organic, and free of pollutants. Prior to the making of this product, all proteins & fats are pre-digested completely, and the following substances are completely removed from the organisms: 1. Any carbohydrate that raises blood sugar. Soluble fibers [such as inulin] are not removed at all as they don’t count as net carbs and actually benefit health. Simple sugars and digestible starches are completely removed. Insoluble fibers [such as cellulose] are also completely removed as they don’t offer much benefit. Non-fermentable carbohydrates not classified as vitamins or fibers are also removed completely. 2. Glycerol [which is unnecessary calories and can be produced by the body] 3. Saturated fatty acids [which contribute to atherosclerosis] 4. Trans fatty acids [which are far worse for health than saturated fatty acids] 5. Any other substance that is scientifically-proven not to be beneficial to – or necessary for – health. All organisms used in this product – excluding tomatoes – are raw. Tomatoes are boiled to bring out the lycopenes. To make the product healthier, bad minerals [such as lead and thallium] are completely removed [assuming any of them happen to somehow be in the organisms]. To decrease blood pressure, sodium and chloride are decreased [but not completely removed]. The sodium is decreased as much as can be without leading to symptoms of sodium deficiency. The chloride is decreased as much as possible without causing any serious symptoms of chloride deficiency – the consumer should still be able to safely perform tasks taken for granted – such as driving or operating machinery. The decrease in chloride will help balance out the acidity caused by ketosis. To help prevent kidney stones during ketosis, extra potassium ions are added to the product. The potassium is also alkaline and will further assist the body in keeping itself non-acidic during ketosis. In addition, the extra potassium is added because the body responds to chlorine deficiency by making the kidneys excrete potassium. So more potassium must be consumed to make up for this loss. The removal of the aforementioned substances does not require the addition of any chemicals or substances. This removal relies on a nanotechnological device that recognizes all known chemicals by their molecular structure. This hypothetical device is programmed to remove the undesirables by capturing molecules analyzing their structure and then separating them from the product. If the captured molecule is desired for the product it is then mixed back into the product. None of the desired chemicals in this product are altered in any way, shape or form. The product has drinking water added to it to make it easier to drink. This product is in small health-friendly, eco-friendly bottles. Five bottles per day should be consumed. The bottles are in a package and are of different sizes. The biggest bottle should be consumed in the morning. The smallest should be consumed in the evening. In between, are bottles of different sizes. Earlier in the day, the bigger bottles should be consumed and as the day progresses the smaller bottles should be consumed. This routine follows the saying “eat breakfast link a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper” – except the food is divided into 5 smaller meals instead of 3 bigger meals. This is an extra benefit to diabetes patients who are following this hypothetical diet. It is important to understand that this product will initially not satiate it’s users. However, once ketosis kicks in, appetite will decrease and consumers will no longer feel the urge to eat. To summarize, the organisms in the product are chopped to the molecular level. Second, the proteins/fats are pre-digested all the way down to their monomers [amino acids in the case of proteins, fatty acids & glycerol in the case of fats]. Third, the undesirable substances are removed. Finally, good microbes, potassium ions, and drinking water are added. There still will be fat in this product, it's just that they will be broken down to fatty acids [and the glycerol portions removed] prior to bottling. Many fatty acids are necessary and/or beneficial for health. They also assist in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. However, the bad fatty acids will be removed completely. If this product did exist it would greatly benefit obese patients. I just wish someone would start a company, get the company to make this theoretical product, and sell it to the general public at a reasonable price. I am overweight with hypertension and at risk for stroke. I don't want to end up paralyzed, blind, heart-attacked or otherwise handicapped. That is why I want this product so badly. As said before, I'd like to live off this entirely so I am completely non-disabled for the rest of my life. It is also extremely important to note that *physical exercise* significantly contributes to health. So a combination of aerobic, anaerobic, and stretch exercises -- when followed with this diet -- will really increase the quality of one's life.
  3. Here's the deal. Oxygen is not directly allowed into the container but can be produced by the photosynthetic bacteria that are allowed into the container. Anyways, I'd like to try some of this "cheese".
  4. Hi: Let’s say the following Sci-Fi scenario occurs: A sample of fresh, raw [un-pasteurized, un-heated], annatto-free, preservative-free, carrageen-free, carrageenan-free, polysorbate-free, purely-natural, disease-free, completely-organic milk of a healthy happy Jersey cow [who grazes solely on natural, organic, healthy, pesticide-free pasture] is gently pumped into a hypothetical container that is eco-friendly, health-friendly, air-tight, vibration-proof and does not affect the affect the smell, chemistry, appearance, or other aesthetic qualities of the milk. The tubes connecting the cow’s udder to the container are also eco-friendly, health-friendly, air-tight, vibration-proof and do not at all affect the aesthetics of the milk. The aforementioned hypothetical container lets in only the following organisms: 1. Any and all types of bacteria [including photosynthetic bacteria] 2. Any molds not classified as mildew [including slime molds] 3. Any microscopic fungi not classified as mildew [including yeasts] Any organism that is not any of the above cannot enter the container. In terms of light, the container and tubes let in any wavelength from the longest wave near-infrared to the shortest-wave near-ultraviolet [this obviously includes visible light]. Light outside this range cannot enter the container or tubes and hence will not affect the milk. The container is kept in an area where it can receive direct sunlight daily. The climate is warm and humid like the tropics. A year passes by. What perceptible changes would occur to the milk [if it can still be called “milk”]? What would it smell like? Thanks, Green Xenon
  5. Maybe not for life extension but I certainly would live off this product if it means preventing me from suffering a stroke or other disease and disability. So long as I'm alive, I do not want to end up handicapped at all. Living off this product decreases my chances of developing cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other horrific conditions that would otherwise make my life hell.
  6. Here is a picture of the Portuguese Man of war: http://www.aloha.com/~lifeguards/manowar1.gif This beautiful yet bizarre creature has tentacles that are extremely smooth, soft, tender, and silky. However, attached to these tentacles are nematocysts [stinging cells]. A nematocyst will inject poison into the bloodstream of the victim. The tip of the nematocyst will enter halfway into a capillary of the victim. Due to this, as soon as the poison is delivered, it rapidly spreads around the body via circulation. Here is what a human victim will experience if the poison of the Portuguese Man of War enters his/her bloodstream: 1. A tactile hallucination of sharp pain all around the body [similar to that caused by excitation of the A-Delta Fiber Nociceptors] 2. Numbness to actual tactile stimuli 3. All voluntary muscles [including speech muscles; excluding breathing muscles] enter a state of complete relaxation and are unable to un-relax no matter how intense an attempt to stimulate those muscles. Victim cannot vocalize, move, or stand. However, the ability to breathe is totally un-affected.
  7. Hi: I posted something similar in the past. I apologize profusely if anyone is annoyed by what might seem like a repetition of that post. However, if you read carefully, you’ll clearly notice some significant differences. My favorite bacteria are: 1. Not gram-negative 2. Free of lipopolysaccharide 3. Non-pathogenic 4. Non-toxic 5. Non-allergenic In terms of respiration, they are any one of the following: 1. Facultative-anaerobes [can use oxygen but don't need it] 2. Obligate anaerobes [can only survive in total or near-total absence of oxygen] 3. Aerotolerant-anaerobes [can survive in oxygen but don't use it for respiration or otherwise require it]. Let’s say the following Sci-Fi scenario occurs: A sample of fresh, raw, annatto-free, preservative-free, carrageen-free, carrageenan-free, polysorbate-free, purely-natural, disease-free, completely-organic milk of a healthy happy Jersey cow [who grazes solely on natural, organic, healthy, pesticide-free pasture] is gently pumped into a hypothetical container that is eco-friendly, healthy-friendly, oxygen-free, air-tight, vibration-proof and does not let in any light of any wavelength when closed. The tubes connecting the cow’s udder to the container are also light-proof [tubes don’t let in light of any wavelength], eco-friendly, healthy-friendly, oxygen-free, air-tight, and vibration-proof. At no point does any foreign object other than “my favorite bacteria” enter the milk. This is true even when the milk is in the cow’s udder. Even the skin of the cow’s udder is somehow completely free of any foreign substances other than “my favorite bacteria”. In addition, the fat of this milk is magically-protected against any rancidity. In fact all molecules in the milk are completely rancidity-proof. After the milk is pumped into the container, my favorite bacteria decompose this milk as completely as possible. They are able to do so because any lactic acid and carbon dioxide molecules [toxic by-products of metabolism] completely disappear [by magic] just as they are generated. What will be the end product smell like? Remember, this milk is invincible to all forms of degradation except the decomposition and “aging” [or ripening] by my favorite bacteria. Because the lactic acid disappears as it is being produced, the milk does not curdle. My favorite bacteria can thus continue to eat the milk and spit out waste products until the decay is complete. To make matters more interesting, the bacteria are invincible to the otherwise toxic effects of the waste they produce. My guess is that the end product will smell like extremely stale cheese. Am I on the right track? Thanks, Green Xenon
  8. The poison enters the CSF through magic. This is a sci-fi scenario.
  9. Hi: What is the neurological mechanism by which psychologically-intense memories are repressed? Apparently the memory of the event does form, and vividly so. However, access to such a memory is usually prohibited. How does the brain deny access to emotionally-tagged memories? Thanks, Green
  10. Hi: Lets say the venom of the Portuguese Man of War jellyfish magically enters my cerebrospinal fluid. What symptoms will I experience? My guess is paralysis, involuntary movements, impaired vision/hearing, visual/auditory hallucinations, impaired balance, dizziness, vertigo, memory loss, false memories, distortion of existing memories, inability to access existing memories, loss of awareness, decreased level of consciousness, alteration in sense of time, dissociative states, tinnitus and other interesting CNS symptoms. Thanks, Green
  11. Yes. There is a difference but it makes my hypothetical product even healthier. This is because good microbes and potassium ions are beneficial to us. Also, the reason everything is chopped to the molecular level is so the consumer can receive all the healthy molecules [and the undesired molecules removed]. The reason potassium are added are to make up for the potassium excreted by the body in response to chlorine deficiency.
  12. My hypothetical product does not "go with the bare minimum", it goes with with is closest to the optimum. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts merged My hypothetical product is "whole" except it has substances not beneficial to health removed.
  13. 1. Our digestive tract is not better suited, it's just-as-good suited for this hypothetical product. This hypothetical product is best for overall health. 2. This hypothetical product is "whole food" with the unnecessary constituents [such as sugars, starches, cellulose, and saturated fats] removed
  14. Even a balanced diet contains certains things that one does not need -- such as starches, sugars, cellulose, and saturated fats. The idea of the hypothetical product I'm daydreaming of is to provide only what is necessary/beneficial in the amounts that are most healthy. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts merged I'm cool with that.
  15. Why? The product includes a device that prevents you from tasting it while consuming it. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts merged Beer would decrease the health value of the product.
  16. Hi: The below link describes a health product I'm looking for. How long until such becomes available for $1-per-package? http://groups.google.com/group/healthiest-food-possible?hl=en&lnk= I seriously wouldn't mind living off that stuff. Along with at least 30 minutes of vigorous aerobic exercise [preceded by warm-up and stretch exercises], this would greatly increase the chances of living a long, healthy life. Thanks, Green Xenon P.S. Feel free to join that group
  17. No. The cow is not put in the container, the milk is.
  18. Indole, skatole, valeric acid, propionic acid, hydrogen sulfide, and amines. If it's high-fat cheese.
  19. I agree, exposure to pathogens does strengthen the immune system if done correctly. I'm just more interested in the bacteria that qualify as "my favorite". Even I don't know why.
  20. What happens if the cream is kept warm but not churned?
  21. My thoughts were that butter would be produced because all the organic compounds other than the saturated fatty acids would decompose. Anyways, would the end product be greasy?
  22. Hi: My favorite bacteria are: 1. Not gram-negative 2. Free of lipopolysaccharide 3. Non-pathogenic 4. Non-toxic 5. Non-allergenic In terms of respiration, they are any one of the following: 1. My guess is yes because bacteria cannot decompose saturated fatty acids. Thanks, Green Xenon
  23. Hi: I recently posted something similar but with significant differences. I apologize profusely if anyone is annoyed by what wrongly-seems like a repetitive post. I’m currently daydreaming of a hypothetical liquid Atkins induction product that is vegan-friendly and has all the nutrients of vegetables, fruits, herbs, algae, seaweed, and other plants that are necessary/beneficial for human health. It also contains beneficial and essential microbes [such as probiotics]. All the aforementioned are in amounts optimum for human health. This product is completely organic and free of any pesticides, synthetic ethylene and other man-made substances that compromise the heath of plants and their human consumers. In addition, no plants used in the product are genetically-engineered. A diet solely of this product is meant for those who want to eliminate the hassle of getting a haircut, shaving, and cutting/filing nails. The only amino acids and fatty acids in this diet are the essential ones and they are small enough in concentration that the consumer [assuming he/she doesn’t eat any other food] will notice the following occurring to his/her body: 1. Hair/nails will stop growing 2. Hair/nails will fall off 3. Hair/nails will not re-grow unless and until other foods with sufficient protein are eaten. Once again, the above 3 will make life much easier for the consumer [assuming he/she does not eat other food]. During this mild protein deficiency, the body will respond by ignoring the needs of hairs/nails. Growth/maintenance/re-growth of hair & nails require protein but are not vital for important body function. So when protein is in short supply, the body conserves protein other body parts. It’s a survival strategy developed through evolution. This product may be extremely healthy to live off of. However, it will likely taste bad. To make this product consumable, oral equipment is included. This apparatus includes a mouth piece – made of health-friendly, eco-friendly material -- that will coat the tongue, teeth, gums, and pretty much the entire mouth of the consumer to protect him/her from perceiving the noxious flavors. The mouth piece is firm enough to maintain its shape yet soft enough to be comfortable to the consumer. The part of the device covering the tongue is especially soft, so that the consumer can feel the presence of the drink in his/her mouth and safely swallow the beverage without it entering the windpipe. This is necessary because the process of peristalsis and the epiglottal protection of the windpipe start from the back of the tongue. Prior to the making of this product, all proteins & fats are pre-digested completely, and the following substances are completely removed from the plants: 1. Any carbohydrate that raises blood sugar. These carbohydrates are bad for induction. Fermentable fibers [such as inulin] are not removed at all as they don’t count as net carbs and actually benefit health during induction and otherwise. Simple sugar and digestible starches are completely removed. Non-fermentable fibers [such as cellulose] are also completely removed as they don’t offer much benefit other than to add bulk to the stools. 2. Unhealthy amino acids [such as homocysteine which damages arteries] 3. Glycerol [which is unnecessary calories and can be produced by the body] 4. Saturated fatty acids [which contribute to atherosclerosis] 5. Trans fatty acids [which are far worse for health than saturated fatty acids] 6. Non-essential fatty acids 7. Non-essential amino acids All plants used in this product – excluding tomatoes -- are raw. Tomatoes are boiled to bring out the lycopenes. To make the product healthier, bad minerals [such as lead and thallium] are removed. To decrease blood pressure, sodium and chloride are decreased [but not completely removed]. The chloride is decreased as much as possible without causing any serious symptoms of chloride deficiency – the consumer should still be able to safely perform tasks taken for granted – such as driving or operating machinery. I just wish someone would start a company, get the company to make this theoretical product, and sell it to the general public at a reasonable price. What would happen to me if I spent a year on a diet using only this product and in the manner I described [5 bottles a day, first bottle biggest, next bottles getting progressively smaller, the last bottle smallest]? Anything unhealthy? I doubt it. If only this product existed and was affordable to the upper middle-class, I'd have no problem living solely off it. Regards, Green Xenon
