  1. I understand you Thoran. Yes, he is a God of wrath... against rebellious mankind...sinners you and I. I've lied, stolen, worshipped plenty of other things but him, coveted what other people have... resulting in my own greed. Romans 3:23-24. 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. But....Romans 5. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more
  2. Jfoldbar.... GE 1:3-5 On the first day, God created light, then separated light and darkness. GE 1:14-19 The sun (which separates night and day) wasn't created until the fourth day. i think there is a difference between sun light...and some other light God is talking about. In fact God refers to Jesus as being the light.... and will be the light when he comes again and there's a new earth and heavens... we will no longer have a sun. Not that it doesn't make me scratch my head at times.... but usually it's only a question of "why would God do this or that". To believe he was God... came down from heaven... to earth as a man WITHOUT ANY SIN...and was sacrificed on a cross... as a payment for our sinful nature.... so that we could therefore be
  4. Hey all, thanks for the input. I'm a Christian and just googling about how things are dated.... so this has been interesting. Believe me, I've got a lot of questions too about God/Christ vs. Scientific explanations. But I keep leaning towards Jesus... mostly because of the intangibles, we certainly are sinful people, but we also are loving people too. It just keeps "making sense" to me... that something must have created love, we are rebellious people... and separated ourselves from that power of love, and that creator of love made a way back to him.... namely the sacrifice of hims
