  1. Hi everyone. I'm taking a Gen Chem class, and I don't know how to solve this problem. I already have calculated all the values I need, but I don't really understand how to use these values to determine the answer to this. Can someone please walk me through this last problem? Thank you. Determine the average ratio for your trials. A ratio can be expressed as a single number. Calculate the percent error in your average ratio, using the accepted molar ratio for magnesium oxide. From your average ratio, report the experimentally determined, average empirical formula for magnesium oxide. I already have the ratio of Magnesium to Oxide. Where would I go from there? I have the mass of Mg, mass of O, mass of MgO, moles of Mg, moles of O. I've done percentage error before, but I don't understand how to do it here, and I do understand the difference b/w molecular and empirical formulae. Please help.
