i also am self teaching physics so i congratulate you for such a goal. Not every person can self teach so that you want to learn is admirable. i in order to understand physics better read and study chemistry, biology and math too. two sites that are helpful with getting pdf versions of books on physics are Project Gutenburg and http://www.freebookcentre.net/Physics/Introductory-Physics-Books.html I have had great luck with these sites.
