  1. Hi, I just joined as a biology and chemistry teacher for the 10th Grade students in an international school only to discover that they very little about their subject and have the exams on their heads. I have tried to cover a lot of the syllabus but they need lab practicals. I don't have the resources or the time to arrange all the lab practicals for them right now...so i am trying to find lab simulation software that I can use to help them practice the basic lab practicals. Does anyone know any good software that I can use to cover simple lab techniques like 'tests for food groups', 'test for gases', 'test for cations' etc. It would be awesome if the software is freely available or if I can get a torrent file. I plan to get the school to buy these lab software for the next academic session onward so that the students can practice the lab techniques themselves as well. Thanks!
  2. Writing essays can be time consuming and self evaluation can be biased. Self learning can also be quite difficult...especially when the reading material available is limited and you don't have someone to explain something which you don't quite understand. Thankfully...Internet to the rescue. I would suggest you pay a visit to Khan Academy (https://www.khanacademy.org/) its like having your personal tutor. You can always clarify your doubts and see where your knowledge of the subject stands. It is encouraging to see someone willing to put the effort in and reclaim their education. Best of luck.
  3. Hi, I am working on marine turtle ecology and I have ended up taking a project where I am looking at Sea Surface Temperature in relation to their behavior. However, I am having difficulty in getting the SST data in a simplified form. The SST data that I got from the met department of my country was horribly inconsitent. So basically I am looking for a simple data set giving the SST on a daily/monthly basis for a given area. Can anyone help me get this? I need numerical values and not maps. The ones i have come across...either I don't know how to access the data or it is to intimidating for me to understand. So much technical lingo! Thanks in advance!!
