  1. Hello! Well, there is a problem which I sort of don't know how to solve. Given a matrix starting at top left corner how do you find all possible paths given x steps. Example 3x3 matrix and you have 5 steps. 7 2 9 2 7 5 6 1 9 So now starting at 7 you need to find all possible paths/all possible sums using only 5 steps. You can move up, down, left right. Not diagonally or jump between numbers. You can't visit the numbers you already visited twice. I am working in C++. Regards!
  2. Hmm, I think I have already seen that one but that is more like turning people's mindsets. Because alot of people believe that they are doomed and that they can't be good at math. I have watched some videos from there but that is not quite what I am looking for, however the other guy provided with alot of stuff. Definitely going to check them out tomorrow after school!

  4. Hello! Well my interest for math is growing alot and I want to know if there is some sort of math literature to sharpen my problem solving skills. So I just basically want to be good at solving math problems really. I know that you might think that solving math problems makes one become better at solving math problems and that is so true but I am looking for something beyond that. Perhaps a book with math problem solving techniques or just some hard as* questions with good explanations aswell. If something is still unclear or you just have a question mark in your head feel free to ask me. Regards!
  5. Along a road, there exists marks for every passed kilometer after every kilometer, at the start where the mark shows 0. A hiker who starts walking at the roads start devote himself to count the numbers on the marks. How many kilometers has the hiker walked/passed at the mark showing the number 2013? I have the solutions aswell but I don't understand the solution. You can see it below. If somebody could explain this I would be greatful. Regards!

  8. Hello! Well, It's another math question that I want to know the answer of. This is not homework, I just want to know how to solve this. Unfortunately I have no idea what to do so if you can solve this one for me I would really appreciate it because I just need to look at your equations to understand how to solve this, would be good if you wrote a few words aswell, as an explanation. Here it goes: Put together two parabola sections to a roller coaster with a steady shift in P. What are the equations of the parabolas. Just a tip; They are asking for the equations of the curves on the image, There are two curves that meet in the coordinate P Regards!

Yes I can show you my solving: [math]\frac{{dy}}{{dx}} = 0[/math] [math]\frac{{dy}}{{dx}} = 3{x^2} + 2ax + 1[/math] [math] 3{x^2} + 2ax + 1 = 0[/math] [math]x = -a/3 +- sqrt({(a/3)^2} - 1/3)[/math] What am I suposed to do now? I know that [math] 3{x^2} + 2ax + 1 = 0[/math] should give you [math]x = "a number" +- sqrt(a negativ number)[/math]

  12. Hello! Well as the titel says, I need help with a math problem I can't get a grip of. I have thought of this problem for around 1-2 hours and just can't understand it. Some tips: Use derivate For which numbers on a doesn't the curve (y = x ^ 3 + ax ^ 2 + x) has any extreme points? The answer to this question is -√3 < a < +√3 Regards!

    Thank you very much for the answer! If somebody else can make it more detailed and explain it a bit more please do so. I would really appreciate it! I do understand the process but I do think he wants us to know this more detailed, and since it's probably gonna come on a test I really want to know the answer to this question as detailed as possible.

    So it is really this simple? He said that this was the hardest question that he wanted us to know and said that we should know it as detailed as possible. This is not a homework, he said that it would be good if we knew it in the future because it might come up something like this on a test.

    Not trying to be rude or anything here but could you please simplify it a bit more? This is high school biology. And I think you missed out some information in the question. The patient is given "fructose" and it has nothing to do with glucose, they are not asking a comparision between fructose and glucose. They are asking how come that if a fructose is ingested the diarrhea can be cured?
