Project Assistance - Acid Rain

I am currently working on a science fair project about acid rain and its effects on local plant life.

I am having difficulty finding data for the amount of acidic rainfall in a specific region. I am trying to determine exactly how much water my plants should receive, which I was going to base on the average rainfall amount for the area. Should I simply use the annual rainfall in the area, or are is there a place I can locate actual "acid rainfall" for an area. I have search the EPA, and several other sites with no luck.

Also, would simply misting the plants with a spray bottle be a good simulation of rainfall, or should I create something more like a terrarium?

I am at a bit of a loss on how to proceed with something that seemed like a rather simple project in the beginning.

Any assistance you can offer would be wonderful.

Thank you for your time.
