Maglev Train Science Fair Project Rate Topic:

My nephew has a science project where the only restriction is that he has to use a magnet is some form or another. He chose to try and replicate the Maglev trains. I've done some research and found some helpful book/articles/websites on how to make the train levitate using opposing poles of a magnet on the bottom of the train and the top of the track. So I'm pretty sure I can handle that part. The one problem I'm running into is how to get the train the actually move using the magnets. The research I've found says that the propulsion of the train comes from the magnets on the side of the train and the side walls of the track but it doesn't say how that actually gets the train to move. So my question is: "How to I get the train to move using the magnets?"
