Sweez
Does anyone know of any good Image analysis softwares for analysing gel electrophoresis images? For 1D you could purchase either TotalLab or Phoretix from www.totallab.com or for 2D analysis SameSpots from www.nonlinear.com. All easy to use Cheers, Sweez

A trickle of science
Hopefully this helps, but when I was analysing the Adh gene extracted from drosophila, I added a safe-view solution (highlights DNA) mix before hand which allowed for the images to be analyse on the Bio-rad machine after imaging, measuring the light intensities of each band. I guess it depends on what you are analysing, for example the presence of a protein or the amount of protein present. Once again hope this helps.
