I like it because it's like basic, but has more power to it, especially pointers (Fortran90), I dont know Fortran-77 or anything, just Fortran-IV, the one that they said set ANSI standard, (which all versions claim) I stopped using fortran because I wanted to make more complex programs. As you should know fortran is horrible for extremely complex programs, and becomes hard to maintain after awhile. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We started using C about '86 and C+ by '88 and then the defense market whent to hell. About 25,000 engineer layoffs in two years. That's why I moved to Nebraska. Jobs.
