Medical Physiology questions

Featured Replies

Hi guys I'm a medical student and have some cardio physiology questions that I'm currently trying to figure out. I wanted to see if anyone here has any good ideas. These are challenge questions which my physiology professor has posed to us. My friends and I already have some ideas but I'd like to hear what other people have to say.

1.- What is the mechanism responsible for large artery pressure being higher than that in the aorta?

2.- What is the mechanism for flow to move from the aorta to large arteries

3.What causes resistance to increase in a passive bed when blood pressure is decreased?
4.What would resistance be when blood pressure increases in a passive bed?
