I'm wondering if there is a simple way of separating the precious metal content of a catalytic converter other than, for example, aqua regia when the honeycomb has been crushed/ground to the consistency of facepowder. I mean, can you heat it to the point where the crushed honeycomb will melt and allow the metals to sink to the bottom of the crucible?
