Cluster Analysis and Silhouette

Hi all,

 

Got this question. Is there a way to guarantee that a data set can be clustered such that it's silhouette coefficient will be greater than a constant?

 

Note that there is no clustering method specified(dbscan, k-means etc.).

 

I have been thinking about this problem for so long and no paper has addressed that.. Sad...

 

Any thoughts will be appreciated.. Thanks so much!
