Frequency of mitochondrial DNA variants

Dear all,

I have basic questions regarding mtDNA.

I would like to know what is exactly the GB frequency for mitochondrial DNA variants (how is is calculated? what is considered to be high and what is considered to be low?). I have read that a frequency mtDB <0.2% is low. How do you convert a GB frequency into this %?
