Humoral Theory (ancient bodily fluid concept)

Featured Replies

I'm doing a dissertation (BA philosophy) about the impact of technology on a person's psychology- in which i have raised the humoral theory as a sort of metaphor for technology's effect on the latent part of our minds. Since i know that it is not scientifically valid- can anyone enlighten me on any current science terms that relates to our body's chemistry (like too much serotonin etc.)? Even just a particular term that i can research into, so i can offer some current science.

The concept of psycho-neuro-immunology may be helpful. Also check psychosomatic medicine for general information.
