Blog post: andrewcellini: What is purpose (in the context of this blog)

Featured Replies

Truth be told, there is no intrinsic purpose to this blog post, only the purpose I bestow on it; the purpose of explaining why I am resorting to blogging my ramblings. Without justification of why I am writing a blog, assuming I still write the damn thing, there would just be evidence of an insane person free to the internet. Blogging is a medium that I am familiar with through countless pathetic attempts at generating readable content not only for passers-by but for myself. I found when I talked about the quality of snack foods or the traits of nonexistent creatures I was doing something which not only took up a lot of my time, but was also incredibly unfulfilling and left me feeling like I was really doing nothing at all.

With this most recent attempt, I am trying to collect some thoughts on matters in philosophy and science with topics including ethics, atheism and antitheism, and philosophy of science as well as any interesting reads I come across in peer-reviewed literature, or videos I find that I think will be enjoyed by others. What I want most out of this blog is to facilitate thought and discussion about topics that I find important, and to chronicle how my views could develop over time.
