Question about gravity waves

Featured Replies

I recently read in some post here, that according to GR, if a body of material is accelerated (really the person should have said experiences an external force) then gravitational waves are emitted.

Is that accurate? Does GR imply that? If so, what mathematical part leads to this?

Thank you
