Java Security

Featured Replies

I have another problem...

I cannot access some websites because of the Java security, but when go to the security settings of Java, it only shows the 'Very High' and 'High' security settings. It does not show the 'Middle' security. I used to have it, but for some reason it is not there anymore.

I am using a Mac.

It looks like this.

Dpending on what version of Java you ahve, this may answer your question:

Medium (removed from Java 8 Update 20 and later versions)

Only unsigned applications that request all permissions are blocked. All other applications are allowed to run with security prompts. Selecting the Medium security level is not recommended and will make your computer more vulnerable should you run a malicious application.
