Identification of causative genes: past and present

Featured Replies

I am having a little trouble here. I am an undergrad attempting to revise and my lecture slides are awful. Can anyone take me through the process (each step) of identifying a causative gene in an autosomal dominant inherited disease. I would like to know how it was done say 15 years and how it is done now. Any help would be great. Thank you.
