Movement During Sleep Phases

Featured Replies

Hi everybody

I'm currently programming a Windows Phone app that should allow people to record their movement during sleep and derive estimated sleep phases from those values.

Does someone have knowledge about how movement changes with different sleep phases? My guess now is that both, intensity and frequency of movement decrease with deeper sleep phases. I also think that frequency may be more accurate, i.e. in a REM phase, there is almost no movement of the whole body.

What do you think? Does someone know good literature to that?

Cheers,

Bill
