Bases and acids

Ok then? Is this homework or some study you have to do? Well, I'll tell you this:

1, Magnesium reacts with acids (with water too, but slowly) to form a salt (it forms magnesium hydroxide in water) and hydrogen. Sprite contains CO2 in the form of carbonic acid and a mix of organic acids.

2, Bicarbonate liberates large amounts of CO2 on contact with acidic liquids.
