Do you ever wondered why two different reaction with the same ?G°' of -15 kJ/mol are sometimes considered as irreversible and in other cases considered as reversible?

The issue is actually that the standard is poorly chosen and does not reflect biological concentrations, so that you need to correct the values before you can use them.
