Indian coal = Australian coal ?

It is possible given that in past Australia and India were once a common landmass. Since coal formation also takes time and mainly is due to decomposition and also it requires plants in large quantities.

I think it is a matter of timescale we need a solid research rather than guessing it out! For a common relation the coal formation should start forming before the lands separated due to tectonic shift.
