Today I played two "NEW" games that came out forever and a day ago.

These two games are Finial fantasy XII Co lectors Edition and Kingdom hearts Re-chain Of Memories both for ps2.

FFXII has one glaring problem; it sucks so bad that it square enix should have shut down after making such a bad game.

the battle system is basically "program tasks into character and wait to see what happens" you attack whenever your attack gauge fills up all you have to do is assign target priority.

I know what they were going for, they wanted more strategy than the "button mashing" of KH, kH2 and more excitement than a turn based game.

they failed.

all this new system succeeds in doing is make the gamer feel frustratingly powerless as there is not really a game here at all it is a "watch and see"

the second game failed because they (made by same company) went for the same thing only this time with a deck of cards.

every action requires a card.

you have a limited number of cards.

when you run out you have to reload which makes you variable to attack

attack strength is based on card so lvl ups are ~meaningless

most of the time your enemy has better cards so you have to chain 3 cards together which makes the first card disappear.

so what they built is the perfect way to make the gamer angry.

this system sucks because it is way to difficult, doesn't feel natural after so much time playing the other games, and not as fun.

when I play khr all I wind up punching the x button in a blind rage as some baddie kills me with ease preventing me from finally figuring wtf happened Benet the first and last game b/c the plot makes no sense w/o it

ntm I have never been as angry playing a game as this one. It is difficult to describe this level of rage without sounding like a maniac so suffice to say on several instances I swore loudly enough for my neighbors to hear

if you gave these games a competent battle system and they would become great (so far didn't get very far)

but as they are they both deserve to be entered into the "worst game ever" contest.

I hate it when someone has a good idea and mucks it up in execution because now no one else can do it right
