Help with game formula

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I play an old school PBM game and need help trying to pin down a formula to use to determine encumberance. I'm not a numbers guy but it seems like it shouldn't be all that complicated for someone in the know to figure out.

If you're interested, I can send you a copy of the chart along with some information on armor/weapon weight.

Thanks!

Mike

Well, I think the first question is - do you lean toward simple, quick playability (a la Dungeons and Dragons) or realism at the expense of my players actually using it (a la GURPS or Traveller)?

i'm not sure that it matters. i'm not trying to develop a game. i'm simply trying to take a chart and some numbers and figure out an accurate formula to determine specific encumberance. make sense?

i'm trying to figure out the relationship between 2 given stats and how they equate to different classes.
