Science Project - Homemade "Snail Ball"

Well I have been trying to make a snail ball from home materials for my science project, but have failed so far. Any suggestions on my setup? I add the honey into the capsule and fill it to about half the ball's height.

 

 

 

P.S. Could the honey be too viscous?
