For the record, RADM (which was Commodore, at the time) Grace Hopper gave the commencement speech when I graduated. I was in the navy, though not yet commissioned, and I took Hopper's famous "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to get permission" as a direct order.Read and comment on the full post
