Well, here's my suggestion: Write a spelling and grammar checker that awards a gold bonus to a World of Warcraft character of choice for each properly written message in a forum. Then measure whether this has an effect on overall level of discussion on the chosen forum (my guess is that it will just result in someone writing a bot).
