Phosphorus and Americium for glow in the dark

I'm curious about a few things here:

 

A.) Does americium-241 (smoke detector) emit enough of the right kind of radiation to make phosphorus glow?

B.) I assume just as with tritium, different kinds of phosphorus will glow different colors?

C.) What are the color choices?

D.) Can you buy the right kind(s) of phosphorus? If so, where?
