ccdi9?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

My name is Ricky Shadrach, currently a student of computer science at Virginia tech. I mention this only so that you get the impression that I have absolutely no background in biochemistry and hoping that your replies are made as, well, easy to follow as possible.

Anyways, I normally post at the Skeptic Friends Network (http://www.skepticfriends.org), but have also for the past few months have been posting at http://www.skeptictimes.com (ignore the name, it is a Creationist website). At their forum, a user claimed that something called "ccdi9" completely refuted gradual evolution (who also claimed to be close to a PhD in biochemisty at age 21). I tried to research it and came up with nothing, then asked the people back at the skeptic friends network, and they came up with nothing. We then went and asked people over at http://www.TalkOrigins.org, and they also found nothing under ccdi9, but found something similar, "cdc19," which is a protein required for cell division.

So in short, I was wondering if I could get a confirmation of the non-existance of "ccdi9".

Thanks
