Fractal Explorer Beta

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

some month ago i first heard of fractals. They fascinated me from the beginning on. So i decided to code a little fractal explorer and create a website so other people can learn about fractals too.

The software is now in a beta state. It has following features:

- Plot several fractals (sierpinski triangle, kochcurve, kochsnowflake, mandelbrot set)

- Zoom into mandelbrot set

- Dynamic color options

- Create zoom videos into the mandelbrot set (right now it is only possible to create the frames and save them as bmp)

It would be awesome if some of you could test it and tell me if they found any bugs.

And, as english is not my mother toung if you find any grammar errors on the website please tell me, too.

Thanks in advance

Cool. The website doesn't say what operating system the program is for, perhaps you should put that in.

Also on the Koch curve page you say:

"add another part which goes from the end of part to to the beginning of part 4"

surely this should say "add another part which goes from the end of part 2 to the beginning of part 3" (you missed out the 2, and the other part is part 3 until you've added a new part).

great site, i seen a documentary on topdocs about fractals

your site seems very informative but would it be possible to actually re-create computer code so we can all play with the algorithms changing the fractals colours and sets etc. cheers
