How do I become an Earth Science teacher if I have a BA in an unrelated feild?

I have a BA in communication from the University at buffalo. I live on LI and would like to go to an inexpensive school to complete all basic earth science courses I need to as well as the teacher certification classes. I am having difficulty getting some good advice so if anyone in this similar situation can help, please send a reply back right away. Thanks!

You should talk to a academic advisor in the Geology Dept of the University that you would like to attend.
