Professor Marshall Stoneham dies

Professor Marshall Stoneham passed away on the morning of the 18th. He was president of the Institute of Physics. Due to his illness the immediate past President Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell will continue to act as President of the Institute.

 

Professor Stoneham had been very active within the IOP for a number of years. I am sure he will be greatly missed.
