Does anyone have any suggestions for good, versatile geological mapping freeware (or cheap software)? I am working on a project mapping heatflow data, so I need a program that has the capabilities of constructing structural contours for aquifers, isotherms, topography, etc. I am on a budget, so am not interested in any of the high-end programs.

there is a lot of programs are good for your porpose but most of them for purcase but i think there is a program called ArcGIS you can download it for free , it will help you .
