Mitochondrial content of different tissue types

Featured Replies

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew the Mitochondrial content of different tissue types, particularly between the heart, liver and muscle. I just finished a lab where it was found that the succinate activity for the heart was higher, following the liver and then the muscle. I have been looking around and keep finding that muscle(skeletal) has more mitochondria which doesnt make sense to me because shouldnt its succinate activity be faster?

Any help would be appreciated
