what happens to the atomic structure of the metal or any element when it is rapidly heated......

and why the resistance of any conductor increases with increase in temperature.....

The molecules in metals move around (against each other) more when heat is added.

Not all conductors lose conductivity when heated - carbon decreases its resistance as it gets warmer.
