I am now experimenting with various NH4NO3 based comps with little to speak of.

 

mainly because I am getting very simalar reactions as if I was using KNO3 or KCIO3, OR am getting non working comps.

 

any formulas for some energetic comps would be great.

the stuff`s lousey for pyro, give it up

 

to do any good with it ( and you`ll only make craters) you need lots of it, blasting caps, some maths, and one of a few other things to mix with it. forget it!

 

not only that but the storage element is pitifull, all your work could be reduced to a soggy puddle overnight.

 

use what the Pros use, potassium Chlorate or Nitrate, there`s a REASON they use it!

yeah but they're so...controlled

ya, I have enough to have fun with, I still have to mill some more of it down.

 

what reducers/fuels work best in using it as an explosive?

reducing agents? think alkali and alkaline earth metals..
