mix of succinic acid and anhydride

my teacher recently asked me how to seperate mixture of succinic acid and succinic anhydride in to pure components? my answers ranged from simple base neutraizations to metal complex formation. but i think most suitable way would be to separate by different solubility in some solvent.

any guesses?

acid group is much more polar than the anhydride group, possibly by partition?
