I am trying to find out how I can wire a photocell to operate a small motor for a science project. It is part of a rube goldberg. Can anyone help me?

Depending on the performance of the solar cell, you would connect it as if it was a battery. Otherwise you might need to use it to charge a battery.

 

It's either going to sustain enough electricity to power it completely (doubtful) or allow the use of a battery to last longer.

 

So it would help if we knew what you were working with.
