I would like to purchase spectrometer that I plan to use primarlily for learning how to identify organic compounds.

 

Is it possible to buy something for under under $1500 that will work?

 

Can I use any of the spectrometers offered by Vernier.com?

What types should I lokk at (NIR, FT-IR, etc)
