Please help me with DNA replication --> Formation of Lagging strand

Featured Replies

Hi!

I have read many books and gone through few video tutorials but I am still unable to figure it out why actually lagging strand is formed?

Thanks

Because DNA polymerase works in only the 5' to 3' direction of the DNA strand, and there are two DNA strands in an antiparallel configuration (ie, opposite directions).
