Help on Geography/Atmosphere-ish questions

Featured Replies

Hi if someone could help me with this stuff it would be really appreciated because I just can't get it.

First of all, you know the Coroilos Effect thing? And how it makes wind in the Northern Hemisphere go right and the opposite in the Southern Hemisphere? Why does just crossing 0 degrees latitude make the wind go the opposite way?

And also, how come the West Coast never gets hurricanes whereas it's a yearly occurence on the East Coast?
