So after much thought I think I have figured it out. But there is ZERO evidence for it, thus I am posting in the pseudo-science section. Lets assume that space-time isn't a flat sheet. Lets assume that space-time is quantized. Let me break down into laymens terms, imagine a bunch of balls connected to each other via springs. Now space-time is only quantized around a object, such as the Earth. This happens because of the tension change in the space. When a object moves near the quantized space the balls begin to oscillate and tug against the object. The front section is compressed the back is expanded, thus more force is felt in the back.
