I've been given a bit of Fortran code and I have no way to run it. Can anyone lead me to a good compiler?

Yeah, there's g77 and g95. g77 is much more robust than g95, but it may be good enough for your needs.

 

There's also "ifort", the Intel Fortran Compiler, which is free with registration.
