Hi. Would someone please tell me if anhydrous alcohol is the same thing as isopropyl alcohol? Thank you.

no it is not.

 

anhydrous alchol means an alcohol without any water in it.

 

isopropyl alcohol is a specific isomer of an alcohol wit three carbon atoms.

The Computerized Radiography cassettes that we use in radiology can only be cleaned with anhydrous alcohol. I am trying to find a pre-moistened wipe to clean these cassettes. Currently, we are using a 1 pint bottle of denatured alcohol at $10.00 p/bottle.
