And we're trying to find the specific heat capacity of ferrofluid under a magnetic field. Only problem is the ferrofluid rips through it's container when we turn the magnet on. Is the container allowed to influence the magnetic field in any way? Without any answer to those questions, it's hard to help you. I'd go for ceramics.
